IMPORTANT INFORMATION

THIS IS A SIX EVENING COURSE  MEETS ON MONDAY, TUESDAY, AND WEDNESDAY FOR TWO WEEKS SEPTEMBER 29, 30, AND OCTOBER 1 OF THE FIRST WEEK AND OCTOBER 6, 7, AND  8 OF THE SECOND WEEK. 


This six-evening course which is CERTIFIED BY NATE will enhance a technician’s score and give him/her the edge to pass the NATE Core Exam.  This course will also assist a Tech in passing most specialty exams.

 

What do you get in this class?

  1. Writing Skills- Recognize and be prepared for questions that test a technician’s writing skills.
  2. Reading and Comprehension – Practice tests and explanations aid in basic reading and comprehension
  3. Mathematics – Formulas refreshed and explained to a degree that will enable the

            technician to breeze through the math portion of the NATE Core exam.

  1. Tools – Learn the real terms of common tools and how to properly use them.
  2. Safety – Learn the basic reasons behind and your responsibilities relating to  safety in the workplace. How to handle Hazardous Materials and related safety precautions.
  3. Basic Science – Matter, atoms, elements, role of chemistry on the job, oxidation, weight, density, pressure, temperature and more ….
  4. Electrical – Basic theory, terms, AC, DC, circuit analysis, motor types, magnetism, single phase and 3 phase motors, diagrams, meters and more….
  5. Duct Design – Materials, Layout, Tools – When a certain type of design works best.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE:  All instructors and students attending classes are required to sign a no-solicitation agreement acknowledging that they will not recruit potential employees for their companies.  North Texas ACCA has been very proactive in ensuring that ACCA training and other sponsored events are free of solicitation attempts.  This agreement is in force whether the training and events are held at the North Texas ACCA office or another location.  Violations of this agreement by instructors or students will not be tolerated.
